Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated licensed Enrolled Agent (EA), Tax Attorney, or CPA who is looking to take control of their career and work within a fast-paced and ever-expanding tax controversy firm. This position will involve managing a high volume of tax controversy matters and related tasks as the primary tax representative (POA) for taxpayers, and working directly with taxpayers and the IRS. It also includes related administrative, sales and additional duties necessary to serve Clients and to accomplish our Firm’s objectives.
This is a fast-paced, high-pressure position that requires the ability to manage competing priorities and a large, revolving inventory of cases, tasks and responsibilities. Only candidates with an above-average work ethic and ability to work productively in a high-pressure position should apply. Likewise, the candidate will be solely responsible for managing every aspect of their high-volume, high-stakes Collections case inventory. Duties, responsibilities and qualifications include:
• MUST BE AN EXPERIENCED LICENSED Enrolled Agent (EA), Tax Attorney, or CPA
• Must be highly detail-oriented and be able to follow specific instructions and direction
– Quickly and professionally carry out necessary Enrolled Agent (EA), Tax Attorney, or CPA tasks in conformance with Firm’s procedures and with minimal oversight
• Self-starter with ability to independently manage a very large volume of IRS Collections cases with varying levels of complexity
– Handling calls with clients, prospects, IRS employees, including the organizational capability to manage potentially long follow-up process with important stakeholders.
• Management of large volume of IRS Collections Enrolled Agent (EA), Tax Attorney, or CPA-level cases independently, ethically, and with confidence in level of service being provided.
• Must be able to work flawlessly in a remote environment
• Proficiency with Zoom/Google Meet and other remote meeting tools is an absolute must
• Create, edit, proofread, interpret, explain tax collection case-related documents
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Google Drive, Power Point
• Ongoing research and analysis of the Internal Revenue Manual, Internal Revenue Code
• Excellent ability to multitask and handle ongoing stream of incoming cases and tasks
• Ability and willingness to assist with any and all tasks needed to meet company objectives – teamwork and contributing to the Firm’s goals is required
– Ability and willingness to constantly train and learn new material, skills, techniques, strategies assigned by the Firm
• Position may require bending down and sitting at a computer for long periods of time.
Skills Needed / Expectations
• Excellent understanding of the IRS Collections Process, IRS Appeals Process, IRS Audit Process, IRS Agency trends and status
• Ability to independently, successfully and ethically resolve IRS tax resolution cases as the lead Enrolled Agent (EA), Tax Attorney, or CPA, with visibility to both clients and the IRS Revenue Officers, Service Center Employees, Appeals Officers, Auditors, Offer-in-Compromise Employees, Group Managers, and other stakeholders, such as Clients, Customers, Taxpayers, and Others
• Highly meticulous, detail-oriented and accurate
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent ability to take direction and follow instructions
• Ability to complete work with tight deadlines on a regular basis
• Flexible, adaptable, and assertive
• Highly capable of learning new information and tools

This Enrolled Agent (EA), Tax Attorney, or CPA job operates in a remote setting but is still expected to routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, scanners, and standard office supplies. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Employee is required to sit at desk for majority of the workday with occasional standing and walking within office environment. The employee is required to use hands and fingers for writing and typing, handle or feel office tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Employee may occasionally crouch or kneel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs. Professional Sales Expert will be responsible for managing firm’s leads and sales processes. Position is 100% commission based and is designed for unlimited earning potential to allow high performers to thrive.
Job responsibilities will include:
• Making outbound telephone calls to leads, prospective clients, referral sources, and others.
• Follow-up and assist with follow-up for prospective clients
• Assist and coordinate with design and execution of marketing, advertising and sales campaigns; mailings, proofreading, and copywriting of blog posts, special reports, articles, and other marketing materials
