YOU’RE NO. 2 ON MY THANKFUL LIST … (My Wife and Kids Come First, of Course!)

YOU’RE NO. 2 ON MY THANKFUL LIST … (My Wife and Kids Come First, of Course!)

Thanksgiving is almost here, and as part of our big holiday lunch, my family goes around the table to talk about the year behind us. Here are a few topics we always cover: What went well? What didn’t? Who made an impact on us? And, of course, what are we thankful for?

When I reflected on those things today, I realized that apart from my 2-year-old daughter, 5-year-old-son, and wife of 13 years, the people I’m most thankful for are my clients at Landmark Tax Group. If you’ve worked with us and you’re reading this, I mean you! I’m incredibly grateful for the trust you place in me and my team.

When people come to Landmark Tax Group for help with their back taxes, they’re often in challenging situations. They’re stressed out and feel like they have the world on their shoulders. Often, our clients have worked with traditional tax relief companies in the past, only to get burned. They want answers and relief, and they don’t always get it from those “experts.”

As you might imagine, that history makes trusting us even more difficult when they finally find their way to our door. It’s a vulnerable time, and it takes a lot of courage to let someone else in to share the pressure and battle the IRS.
However, I’m glad that they do.

It might sound cheesy, but I really believe it’s my mission in life to show people what real IRS tax help entails and how affordable it can be. At our office, we help hundreds of clients without charging them a penny up front (click here to read more about our payment options and complimentary resources) and achieve life-changing results for them and their families. That’s truly something to be thankful for, and I’ll definitely bring it up at our Thanksgiving table.

Speaking of the holiday, my family’s celebration will look a little bit different this year because it will be our first Thanksgiving in Florida. We’ll gather with our in-state family for lunch (a midday meal is a tradition for us), then take a walk around the neighborhood. I love our tradition of getting fresh air and
exercise while walking off the turkey.

Thanksgiving lunch is reserved for talking about the past, but on that walk, we’ll discuss the year ahead. What do we expect in the coming months? What do we hope for? This year, I have a lot of big plans and goals to share for Landmark Tax Group. I’m looking forward to a 2022 full of milestones — be sure to stay tuned!

Happy Thanksgiving from my family to yours,

Michael Raanan, MBA, EA, Former IRS Agent
